Global power industry tenders in Q3 2020: Nuclear technology up 163%

Nuclear technology tenders activity in Q3 2020 saw 21 tenders announced, marking a rise of 163% over the last four-quarter average of 8, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

Looking at global power tenders activity divided by the type of technology, nuclear held the fifth position in terms of number of tenders during Q3 2020 with a 2% share.

The proportion of tenders by category in the Nuclear technology tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 16 tenders and a 76.2% share
  2. Others: five tenders and a 23.8% share.

Europe leads nuclear tenders activity in Q3 2020

Comparing tenders activity in nuclear technology in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position with 13 tenders and a share of 61.9% during Q3 2020, followed by Asia-Pacific with eight tenders and a 38.1% share.
