The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 65 tenders and a 61.9% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 24 tenders and a 22.9% share
  3. Consulting & Similar Services: 14 tenders and a 13.3% share
  4. Power Purchase Agreement: two tenders and a 1.9% share.

Asia-Pacific leads power plant activity in December 2019

Comparing tenders activity in power plant segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 80 tenders and a share of 76.2% during December 2019, followed by Europe with 14 tenders and a 13.3% share and Middle East and Africa with five tenders and a 4.8% share.

Solar is leading technology for power plant tenders in December 2019

Among the technologies, solar accounted for 71 tenders with a 66.4% share, followed by thermal with 20 tenders and an 18.7% share and hydro with eight tenders and a 7.5% share.
