South and Central America power industry tenders activity in October 2020 saw 22 tenders announced, marking a rise of 38% over the last 12-month average of 16, according to GlobalData’s power database.

South and Central America power industry tenders in October 2020: Bolivia leads activity

Looking at tenders by country, Bolivia led the activity in October 2020 with five tenders and a share of 22.7%, down 24.2% over the previous month and flat growth when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Trinidad and Tobago with three tenders and a share of 13.6% and Uruguay with two tenders and a share of 9.1% during the month.

Looking at the last 12-month average, Bolivia held the top spot with five tenders, followed by Brazil with two and Trinidad and Tobago with two tenders.

Hydro is top technology area for tenders in October 2020

Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, hydro accounted for the largest proportion with three tenders and a 60% share, followed by solar with two tenders and a 40% share.
