South and Central America power plant tenders activity up 286% in Q1 2021

There were 27 power plant tenders announced in the South and Central America region in Q1 2021, marking a rise of 286% over the last four-quarter average of 7, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the South and Central America region in Q1 2021 with 31 tenders and a 34.1% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 27 tenders and a 29.7% share and Power Plant with 27 tenders and a 29.7% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 15 tenders and a 55.6% share
  2. Consulting & Similar Services: 12 tenders and a 44.4% share.
