T&D equipment tenders in September 2019 saw 149 tenders announced, marking a drop of 46% over the last 12-month average of 278, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 130 tenders and an 87.2% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 19 tenders and a 12.8% share.

Asia-Pacific leads T&D equipment activity in September 2019

Comparing tenders activity in T&D equipment segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 79 tenders and a share of 53% during September 2019, followed by Middle East and Africa with 36 tenders and a 24.2% share and Europe with 26 tenders and a 17.4% share.

Thermal is leading technology for T&D equipment tenders in September 2019
