T&D project tenders in July 2020 saw 209 tenders announced, marking a drop of 38% over the last 12-month average of 338, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 153 tenders and a 73.2% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 39 tenders and an 18.7% share
  3. Consulting & Similar Services: 17 tenders and an 8.1% share.

Asia-Pacific leads T&D project activity in July 2020

Comparing tenders activity in T&D project segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 148 tenders and a share of 70.8% during July 2020, followed by Europe with 25 tenders and a 12% share and Middle East and Africa with 21 tenders and a 10% share.
