The construction of 183MW wind farms in Idaho, US, has been completed, GE Energy Financial Services has announced.
The wind farms, capable of generating power to 39,700 average homes in Idaho, are now operational and about 122 1.5MW wind turbines have been installed.
The farms were constructed on 10,000 acres of rural land, and are located across 11 sites, of which eight farms have been constructed in the Hagerman region and three farms in the Burley region.
The energy generated from the farms will be sold under the 20-year agreements signed with Idaho Power Company.
GE Energy Financial Services, Atlantic Power and Exergy own non-managing member equity interests in the nearly $500m Idaho Wind Partners project, and Reunion Power holds the managing member equity interest and serves as the project's manager.
Construction, led by Fagen, was completed in five months.
