Solon will construct a 15MW solar power plant in California, US, for Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E).

The construction is scheduled to begin in April 2011 and is set to be completed by October.

Solon will use its Velocity MW cluster concept with fixed tilt mounting and its SCADA system for remote control and monitoring.

The plant will be constructed across a 160-acre area in the vicinity of Fresno in central California.

The project is a part of PG&E’s 250MW Utility Owned Generation (UOG) PV Programme.
