A consortium of PensionDanmark and PKA will acquire 50% of the Anholt offshore wind farm in Denmark for Kr6bn ($1.13bn) from Dong Energy.

PensionDanmark will acquire a 30% interest, while PKA will acquire a 20% interest in the wind farm.

The two firms will take over responsibility for operation and earnings in proportion to their
interests in April 2014 with Dong Energy receiving the earnings up to that time.

Dong will construct the Anholt offshore wind farm and has signed a 15-year contract with PensionDanmark and PKA on operation and planned maintenance of the farm.

The contract is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2011 following approval from competition authorities and from the Danish Energy Agency covering PensionDanmark and PKA as parties to the licensing agreement for the construction and operation of the wind farm.
