Inner Mongolia Power Corp. general manager Zhang Fusheng said the region may gain 30GW of wind power generating capacity by 2015 and 50GW by 2020.

In the last month, the region has installed 10.9GW of wind farms, according to Fusheng.

China has the world's highest wind power capacity of 41.8GW after adding 16GW of new capacity in the previous year, according to Reuters.
