Samsung and its partners executed an agreement with the Province of Ontario to supply 2,500MW of renewable energy.

The first phase involves 400MW and 100MW of wind and solar power respectively.

In pursuance to the agreement, Samsung and its partners will construct four manufacturing facilities in Ontario to develop wind and solar power technologies to be used in Ontario and export to the other parts of North America.

The two companies agreed to develop 500MW of wind power using wind turbine components from the new factories in Tillsonburg and Windsor.
