Cenergy Power signed a definitive agreement with Greenleaf to develop, fund and construct a 1.75MW solar facility in California, US.

Construction at the planned 'Nickel 1' solar facility, to be located in Kern County, is scheduled to begin this year and the interconnection of the plant is expected to take place in early 2012.

Upon completion, the plant is expected to generate about 3,000MW of clean energy and reduce the carbon dioxide emissions by 6.5 million pounds every year.

Greenleaf-TNX management partner Tom Yap said the company is extremely pleased to be working with Cenergy Power to finance and own one of California's first small-generator feed-in projects.
