Punj Loyd Secures EPC Contract for Nuclear Work

India's Punj Loyd has secured an engineering, procurement and construction contract worth INR6.78bn ($151.05m) for nuclear piping work at four pressurised heavy water reactors (PHWR) in India.

Work under the contract also includes erection and commissioning of nuclear equipment and piping for all the systems inside the nuclear reactor buildings.

Of the four PHWR, two are located at the Kakrapara Atomic Power Project in Gujarat and the other two are at the Rajasthan Atomic Power Project in Rajasthan.

The contract is expected to take four years to complete.
