RES has agreed to sell an 85% stake in its Wadlow Wind Farm project in Cambridgeshire, UK, to Barclays Infrastructure Funds.

The 26MW Wadlow wind facility will be equipped with 13 wind turbines of 2MW each.

Upon completion, the plant will be capable of generating electricity sufficient to power 15,000 homes.

Construction of the farm began in June this year and is expected to start operations in October 2012.

RES will be responsible for the management of the wind farm after it begins operation.
