Janos Suli, said that Hungary will not borrow money from the European Union for the projects.
"We will not ask for money from the EU, nor will we ask for budgetary financing. However, 50% plus a stake in the new plants will belong to the government," Suli said.
The preparations for the construction will be completed by 2014 and the first reactor will be introduced in 2020.
Hungarian Paks nuclear power plant is one of the safest nuclear power plants. The four WWER-440 reactors of the plant were constructed with the support of the Soviet Union in the eighties.
