Green Star/Notos Signs Agreement with Serbia To Exploit Wind Energy

Renewable energy companies Green Star and Notos, a joint venture belonging to Green Star Alternative Energy, has signed a wind power agreement with the Municipality of Titel in the Republic of Serbia.

As part of the agreement, Green Star will explore the economic viability of the regional wind resources.
Following an assessment, the company will then go ahead with developing wind power to supply the area with clean electricity.

The Municipality of Titel is in the South Backa District of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.

Green Star and Notos is expected to raise its wind sensor towers in the municipality during the third quarter of 2009.

"As an underdeveloped municipality, we need companies like Green Star and Notos who will raise standards and open our region for further investment and development, said the director of the City's Energy Department, Stevan Gecevski.
