Kazakhstan Hydroelectric Project Seeks Bids

Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating (KEGOC) is seeking bids to help build a transmission line and carry out substation work for 300MW Moinak hydroelectric project. The Moinak hydroelectric project is located on Charyn River, Kazakhstan and work will include building transmission lines

Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating (KEGOC) is seeking bids to help build a transmission line and carry out substation work for 300MW Moinak hydroelectric project.

The Moinak hydroelectric project is located on Charyn River, Kazakhstan and work will include building transmission lines, including a 220kV Moinak-Sary-Ozek overhead line, a 220kV Moinak-Shelek line and a 220kV line at Sary-Ozek substation.

The extension and upgrading at the substation, including 220/110kV outdoor switchgear construction at the Moinak hydro plant will also come under work to be tendered out.

KEGOC said it hopes to receive $48m in funding for the project from the World Bank.
