Andritz Hydro Wins Supply Deal for Two Austrian Hydropower Stations

Engineering company Andritz Hydro has received a contract from Energie Steiermark to supply, install and commission electromechanical equipment for the Gossendorf and Kalsdorf hydropower stations, to be built to the south of Graz, Austria.

The company will supply four bulb turbines each with a runner diameter of 3,600mm, including speed governors, generators, and exciter systems.

The two hydropower stations, each with 20MW installed power will be built jointly by Energie Steiermark and Verbund.

The stations will supply renewable electric energy using hydropower to 45,000 households in Styria, Austria from 2012 and 2013.
