The order was placed by BHEL for its power plant at Krishnapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, India.

Alstom recently won an order from Infratech Lanco for building the Teesta hydro electric project in Sikkim, India. The scope of the order, which is worth INR2.65bn, includes the supply of turbines and generators to produce 500MW of electricity.
