India's Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has secured a deal to help build a thermal power project in the state of Orissa, it has been revealed.

The contract for the Greenfield power project located at Derang in Orissa, was awarded to BHEL by Jindal India Thermal Power (JITPL), according to India's Business Standard.

BHEL will be responsible for the design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of steam turbines, generators and boilers.
