Germany's REpower Systems has just signed two contracts to deliver 31 wind energy turbines with two companies for two wind projects in Italy.

The 2MW-type turbines, with a total rated output of 63.55MW, are destined for two wind farm projects in Italy. One will be at the Savignano Irpino wind farm in the Puglia region and the other will be at the Monte Mimiani project in Sicily.

REPower plans to install 20 MM92 turbines at the Savignano Irpino wind farm and eleven of the same turbines at the Monte Mimiani project.

The project companies are majority owned by TRE&P, a subsidiary of Tozzi Holding.
