Greek power company Public Power Corp (PPC) said a consortium led by power plant engineering specialist Metka had been chosen for its $714.6m Megalopolis plant in southern Greece.
The plant will have a net capacity of 811MW, the company said.
Meanwhile, PPC has been working to get power up and running in Greece as wildfires ravage land around Athens.
It said power supply had improved compared to that on Sunday, and that power output was being reduced at night to help conserve power.
Fires in the regions of Voutza and Kallitechnoupoli led to the closure of 24 power stations. Repairs are now being carried out.
