Infigen Energy has appointed Indian energy company Suzlon to help build a 42MW wind farm in New South Wales, Australia.
Suzlon said it will supply 20 units of S-88-2.1MW wind turbine generators (WTGs), designed for medium wind speed.
Features of the WTGs include pitch regulated blade operation, a three-stage gearbox with 2,200kW rating and flexible coupling to the asynchronous induction generator.
Infigen has previously awarded Suzlon an EPC contract for its 67 x 2.1MW Capital Wind Farm, which became operational in September 2009.
