Jiangsu Linyang Solarfun has signed a deal with China’s Jiayuguan City Government to build a 100MW solar power plant in the country.
The photovoltaic cell maker Solarfun, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Solarfun Power Holdings, said it will also build a module production plant in the city to support the solar power facility, reports Reuters.
Investment details were not disclosed.
The development comes as China launches a plan to offer subsidies to large solar power projects as part of plans to find alternatives to fossil fuels.
