BHEL to Build Indian Solar Plant

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) said it will build a 3MW solar photovoltaic power plant in Karnataka, India. The eco-friendly, grid-interactive power plant, valued at $9m (Rs42 crore), will be built in the Raichur district of north Karnataka for Karnataka Power Corporation.

The eco-friendly, grid-interactive power plant, valued at $9m (Rs42 crore), will be built in the Raichur district of north Karnataka for Karnataka Power Corporation.

BHEL will provide engineering, manufacture, supply, building and commissioning services, besides operating and maintaining the plant for three years.

Work on the project is expected to be complete in eight months.
