British companies have been urged to cut their energy bills in a move that could see savings of up to a third across industry. Charity The Carbon Trust has offered free advice to firms that spend between £50,000 and £3m a year on energy, including the services of an expert to draw up pl

British companies have been urged to cut their energy bills in a move that could see savings of up to a third across industry.

Charity The Carbon Trust has offered free advice to firms that spend between £50,000 and £3m a year on energy, including the services of an expert to draw up plans.

The Carbon Survey offers a customised energy-saving action plan and the services of an on-site energy expert to help lower energy costs by 20% to 30%.

Through surveys The Carbon Trust has been able to provide more than £180m in energy savings to British companies.

The Carbon Trust is also providing a free Cut Carbon, Cut Costs online tutorial to companies that spend less than £50,000 annually on energy.
