The first of two new power plants in Sidhirganj, Bangladesh have come online.

The Sidhirganj power plant is expected to add about 120MW to the national grid to help meet the power crisis in the country.

Two plants with a total capacity of 240MW will eventually operate at full capacity and could serve demand of Mymensingh zone apart from contributing to the grid.
