Biomass power company Helius Energy said it plans to build at least one power plant in Teesside, England, over the next five years.

The firm, previously based in Middlesbrough, has moved its head office to London in a bid to help attract investment.

Helius, which was set up in 2004 and has a £500m turnover, is now looking for sites across the UK to base future projects after selling its first plant in Grimsby to German utility group RWE Innogy.
