EDF Energies Nouvelles said it has commissioned the Casatejada solar photovoltaic power plant in Spain.

The solar plant with an installed capacity of 11.4MWp is equipped with 152,400 photovoltaic panels based on thin-film technology provided by First Solar.

With the addition of the new plant EDF Energies Nouvelles' solar energy capacity in Spain now stands at 18.1MWp.

The Casatejada plant is 90% owned by the EDF Energies Nouvelles Group through Fotosolar, its local solar energy subsidiary.
