Iberdrola’s Penascal Wind Farm Begins Operation

Iberdrola said its largest wind farm in Texas, US, has started operations. The Penascal complex, which has a total 404MW generation capacity, comprises two wind farms, Penascal I and Penascal II. The facility has 168 Mitsubishi MHI 92 wind turbines with a unit capacity of 2.4M

The facility has 168 Mitsubishi MHI 92 wind turbines with a unit capacity of 2.4MW.

Power generated from the plant is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by about 120,000t a year.
