Korea Midland Power Co (KOMIPO) said it had won a 1 trillion won ($842.4m) order to operate and maintain thermal coal power plants in Indonesia.
The utility, fully owned by Korea Electric Power Corp (KEPCO) said in a statement that it would run two 660MW power plants to be located in central Java, 300KM east of Jakarta, for 22 years.
Construction of the two plants will be completed in October 2011 and January 2012 respectively.
