The Dgen power plant, to be built in Dahej, southwestern Gujarat, will comprise three combined cycle units and generate 1.2GW of power.

The Unosugen combined cycle plant with a 400MW capacity will be built near Surat in Gujarat.

Siemens will also supply the main components for the two plants including four SGT5-4000F gas turbines, four SST5-5000 steam turbines, four hydrogen cooled generators, and the entire electrical systems and the SPPA-T3000 instrumentation and control system.

The firm will also provide long-term service for the plants under the contracts.
