ABB has opened its fourth global wind power generator factory in Vadodara, India.

The manufacturing facility will supply wind power generators, an important component in wind turbines, for both the Indian and global markets.

The16,000m² unit will produce up to 100 units per month with a rating of up to 2.5MW.

"Our energy-efficient wind power generators will serve the growing need for components in the wind power industry globally," ABB's Discrete Automation and Motion business head Ulrich Spiesshofer said.

The demand for energy-efficient products and solutions is rising globally as countries increasingly need to cut emissions even as demand for energy increases.
