Alerion Clean Power plans to focus on increasing its wind power portfolio and expand abroad to become a leading wind power operator in Europe.
Alerion said it plans to more than double its total capacity to 368MW by the end of 2010, including operating plants and capacity under construction, and authorised projects according to Reuters.
The firm, with an existing 146MW wind capacity, plans to focus on wind power generation and plans to sell some of its photovoltaic plants with a total capacity of 23MW.
It has also been approved to build a 65MW wind power plant in Romania and also intends to expand into Hungary, Bulgaria and Poland.
Alerion is also looking to buy operating plants in Germany, France, Belgium and Britain.
