Vestas to Supply Turbines for Italian Wind Farm

Vestas will supply 18 V90-3.0MW wind turbines for the San Giorgio la Molara wind power plant in Campania, Italy. The deal, signed with Italy's second largest electric utility Edison, covers supply, installation and commissioning of the turbines along with a five-year service agreement.<

The deal, signed with Italy's second largest electric utility Edison, covers supply, installation and commissioning of the turbines along with a five-year service agreement.

The 54MW wind farm will have an annual production capacity of 148,000MWh per year and avoid emissions of 57,400t of CO2 emissions on an annual basis.

Vestas will start delivering the turbines in the first half of 2011 and the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2011.
