JPMorgan Capital Corporation will fund SunEdison’s photovoltaic power projects for deployments across the US.
The solar deployments for both commercial and government projects will be funded through the SunE Solar Fund X.
Under the estimated $60m Solar Fund, SunEdison will finance, construct, monitor and maintain photovoltaic power plants at client locations.
The solar clients will in return buy the energy produced at prices at or below retail rates to make up their demand from the grid.
The first distributed generation solar programme for JPMorgan will help clients realise the benefits of solar without the upfront capital costs associated with solar deployments.
