Alternative energy producer, Eco Ventures Group (EVGI), has received permits for bio-fuel fabrication, manufacturing and sales permits from Lake County and the City of Groveland in Florida, US.
EVGI is working to complete the permitting and entry process for biofuel manufacturing, air quality and related permits from the US Environmental Protection Agency and other state and federal regulatory agencies – all of which are schedules to be completed when the company prepares to begin biofuel test manufacturing in the fourth quarter 2012.
Construction of the company’s first biofuel production plant at its Groveland property is about 80% complete.
It is expected to be finished in the fourth quarter with commercial production anticipated to begin in the first quarter of 2013. Initially, that plant is designed to produce 3.6m gallons of biofuel per year.
Randall Lanham, Eco Ventures Group chief executive, said: "We look forward to working closely with federal and state agencies to prepare for the company’s safe and responsible commercial scale bio-fuel production in the months ahead."
The company estimates its potential bio-fuel production capacity to be up to 90m gallons per year, based on the configuration of the firm’s expandability of up to 100,000ft².
Eco Ventures is evaluating next generation, commercial bio-fuel production technologies to substantially increase its production capacity in the first half of next year.
