Renewable energy sector grows despite Covid-19 pandemic

Renewables are expected to be the only energy sector growing during the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, said an analysis by the International Energy Agency (IEA).

Low-carbon energy sources including solar PV, wind and hydropower are expected to reach 40% of global electricity generation, 6% more compared to coal.
