Vestas has received a 57.6MW order for 32 V100-1.8MW turbines for the Horse Butte Wind project near Idaho Falls, US.
Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems (UAMPS) will develop the project and will purchase the energy from the project for its participating members.
The project will provide clean energy primarily to communities in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Wyoming and California.
The terms of the contract includes delivery and commissioning with a six-year service and maintenance agreement.
The delivery is scheduled to begin by the end of 2010 and the commissioning is expected to be held in the second half of 2011.
UAMPS is a political subdivision of Utah and is responsible for planning, financing, constructing, operating and maintaining various projects for the generation, supply, transmission and management of electricity.
