NAES Corporation will perform operations and maintenance services for the Sandy Creek Energy Station in the US.
The station is a nominal 900MW supercritical power plant designed to burn coal, and utilise makeup water supplied via a pipeline from a local wastewater treatment plant.
The power unit, being built by Sandy Creek Energy Associates, will be located near Riesel, Texas, and is scheduled to begin commercial operations in 2012.
NAES is currently providing a range of pre-commercial services for the station including the development of its suite of operating programmes.
