KDC Solar has partnered with United Stationers Supply and The Sudler Companies to design, install, own and operate a 3.25MW roof-mounted solar installation.

The installation will be situated at the United Stationers’ distribution centre in Cranbury, New Jersey, which has been leased to United Stationers by The Sudler Companies.

The new solar facility is expected to generate about 3,450MWh of electricity per year.

United Stationers senior vice-president of operations Tim Connolly said that the solar installation will suffice for 90% of overall electric needs at the Cranbury distribution centre.

Construction is expected to begin in early 2011 and will be complete by the end of the year.
