RMT has been awarded a contract by Western Wind Energy for the construction of two wind energy facilities in the US.

Under the contract, RMT has commenced the construction of a 120MW Windstar project in Tehachapi, California, and the 10MW Kingman project in Mohave County, Arizona.

RMT will manage the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of the civil and electrical Balance of Plant (BOP) for both the plants.

The firm will also be responsible for the installation of Gamesa 2MW wind turbines at both sites, which have a capacity to generate power sufficient for 35,000 homes every year.

The Kingman and the Windstar facilities are expected to commence operations in the second and fourth quarters of this year respectively.
