Alstom will build a new 800MW gas-fired combined cycle cogeneration plant in Singapore’s Jurong Island, under an engineering, procurement and construction contract from Sembcorp.
As per the terms of the contract, the plant will be constructed in two phases with a capacity of 400MW each.
The total cost for both the phases is €500m ($684m) and the contract for the first phase worth €300m ($410m) has been signed, which also includes an 18-year maintenance contract.
