Viron Energy will begin construction of a 30MW wind power plant in Sukabumi, West Java, Indonesia, after having received an approval from its Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry.
PLN renewable energy division head Muhammad Sofyan told Xinhua news agency that a contract will be signed with the developer in the next month.
The power generated from the plant will be purchased by PLN for 820 rupiah (about 9.2 US cents) per kilowatt-hour.
The construction of the project is expected to be completed in one year and the first phase of the plant would generate 10MW of electricity.
