Waste Recycling Group (WRG) will begin building the energy-from-waste (EfW) plant for Lincolnshire Waste Partnership (LWP) in April this year.
The plant will be built on 31,000m² of land at North Hykeham, Lincolnshire, UK, and is expected to come on stream in the third quarter of 2013.
The facility will produce power by treating 150,000t of residual waste per year, which will be sold to the national grid to serve over 10,000 homes and businesses.
The LWP also plans to utilise the facility for a district heating project to heat local homes and businesses.
