Alstom Grid has opened its China Technology Center in Shanghai, which will develop solutions for smart electrical grids.
An advanced centre for research, development and testing of ultra-high voltage alternating current and energy management solutions, the facility will be spread across 54,000m².
The €47m centre will develop new solutions required for the future of electrical grids.
Designed to accommodate large electrical equipment, the centre will also have a UHV testing hall and R&D platforms such as scientific simulation tools, climate chamber, temperature rise testing lab and material testing labs.
