Tetra Tech will support the Indonesian Government to meet its clean energy needs and targets under a $16.2m contract from the US Agency for International Development (USAID).

Under the 3.5 years programme, Tetra Tech will help the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources expand its domestic energy supply to provide power to 90% of its population by 2025.

The expansion plan will be executed through renewable energy investment and policy improvements.

The firm will also help the country reach its GHG emissions reduction target of 26% under business-as-usual and 41% by 2020, through emissions reductions in the energy and transportation sectors.

Indonesia looks to increase its large-scale geothermal power development and other renewable energy initiatives utilising investment from multilateral development banks and the private sector.
