Japanese firm Kashima Kyodo Electric Power plans to restart the 350MW No. 1 unit at its tsunami-hit thermal plant in eastern Japan.
The unit was closed after the huge earthquake and tsunami hit Japan on 11 March this year.
The company plans to restart the No.1 unit by the end of April, but has no schedule to resume operations at the quake-shut No. 3 unit and No. 4 unit.
Kashima closed the No. 3 and 4 units for maintenance after the earthquake.
Commencement of operations is still uncertain for the No. 2 unit, according to Reuters.
