Satcon Technology has secured a contract to supply 12 1.25MW Prism Platforms for SOLON’s Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E).
The platforms will be installed in PG& amp;E’s 15MW plant, which will be constructed in California, US.
The plant is a part of PG& amp;E’s five-year, 250MW utility-owned generation PV programme, which will see the construction of utility-owned solar power plants.
SOLON will use the 1.25MW Prism Platform, equipped with factory-integrated step-up transformers, MV disconnect switches, and power conversion electronics optimised for utility-scale solar PV installations for this project.
Each prism platform will be configured to Satcon’s Equinox inverters.
Satcon will provide APEX project management services throughout the procurement, logistics, delivery, and on-site commissioning phases of the project.
The project is scheduled to go online in October this year.
