Astonfield Renewable Resources has partnered with Grupo T-Solar Global for the development of its 5MW solar PV project in Rajasthan, India.
The plant will be equipped with T-Solar’s latest generation 5.7m(2) a-Si:H thin film modules.
The solar project will be capable of generating 8.500MW of energy, which is sufficient to power 13,000 homes in India.
Construction of the project has already begun and is expected to be completed by this October.
Schneider Electric has been contracted as the project EPC manager.
State Bank of India and the Export-Import Bank of India have arranged debt financing for the project where Schneider Electric will serve as the engineering, procurement and construction contractor .
